Sebastiao Salgado: Genesis

June 09, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

I took a trip to London on Saturday to go to the Natural History Museum. It's a magnificent building and deserving of a visit in its own right, however the reason for my visit on this occasion was to see the Sebastiao Slagado 'Genesis' exhibition.

The exhibition features over two hundred black and white images taken over eight years and in some of the remotest corners of the world. Well worth a visit and at only £10 it's not going to break the bank. Highly recommended.

What might break the bank is purchasing one of the 'Art Edition' copies of the book that complements the exhibition. I live in hope, but bear in mind if any kind soul does buy me the book, can you toss in a few extra quid for a reinforced coffee table to hold it! There is a smaller version of the book available, I suspect I will have to settle for that.

You can read all about Sebastiao Salgado here and see some of his other works

A google search reveals some of his work also
